How can you ship Klaroline when Klaus stabbed her with a lamp pole and bit her and was going to leave her to die? And then returned to Mystic Falls and said he’ll leave her alone if she sleeps with him? As for Tyler’s “ridiculous quest” its clear you didn’t even take a moment to try to understand where Tyler was coming from. He was broken. His pack and his mother had just been brutally murdered, he’d been run out of his home and would presumably never see his girlfriend again. So he found purpose by helping other werewolves and gaining information along the way. But after everything that happened to him, it’s not hard to understand that it would be nearly impossible for him to just immediately go back to having a normal life. He needed to somehow pick up the pieces of his life and he needed to at least try to avenge his mother and his pack. So he came back to town to tell Caroline that in person and to be there for her at Bonnie’s funeral. Yeah what a terrible guy. And let’s not forget that he didn’t necessarily intend to break up with her, he just came to tell her he wasn’t going to enroll in college. Caroline was the one who gave the ultimatum. And I am one of the few people who actually likes Hayley but let’s not pretend she’s an innocent here. She basically set up Tyler’s pack to be slaughtered and indirectly led to the death of his mother and is now carrying Klaus’s child. And when Tyler returned home he didn’t just expect Caroline to get back with him. But he still loved her and wanted to try to win her back. So yeah they have their ups and their downs and no ship is perfect but these two loved each other deeply and were there for each other when they needed someone so that’s how I can still ship Forwood.
