There's this change in Forwood cause Tyler didn't came back when he could after Klaus granted his permission. When Tyler came back he choose revenge and Klaus over Caroline. Which is totally understandable from is pov really, just I can relate to Caroline wanting to move on, get her life back and not waiting for him anymore cause he didn't chose her, he didn't put her first (what caroline wants the most). Personally I've noticed too the sad, huge change between their relationship from s4 to s5.

Yeah I mean storyline wise I get how they got here. It just sucks. Watching them from seasons 2-4 its hard to imagine that they’d ever be where they are now. I hate how the writers have handled them this season. Its like they just didn’t know what to do with them so they thought let’s just throw it all to hell for no good reason.
