Lol well if you really wanna know I’ll tell you. But you might not like what I have to say and might get offended plus its long, so I’ll put it under a cut and read at your own risk ;)

I read the books so I knew Forwood was going to happen and I was waiting for it. But when they started to happen and Caroline helped him through his first transformation and Tyler finally started opening up to her and falling for her I thought it was perfect. They just made sense, two kids thrust suddenly into these new supernatural transitions finding and helping each other out. They were so similar too, both part of the popular crowd but so insecure about who they were on the inside. Then they continued to fight for each other and chose each other at every turn and tyler even freaking broke a sire bond for her by breaking every bone in his body 100 times! And he risked his life to come back for prom just so he could dance with her! So by season 3 I was a such a goner for them that I’ll be honest, I probably wouldn’t have liked Klaroline no matter what, but the way it happened was just bad and the ship makes no sense to me. Despite what Klaus says, they don’t really have much in common. Caroline is interested in parties, and college, and her friends. Klaus is interested in basically ruling over everybody. And half their interactions involve him putting her in danger just so that he can save her later, like??? And their storyline made Klaus look ridiculous. The big bad original hybrid had nothing better to do than to spend his time trying to break up two 17 year olds in a happy relationship? Plus he has just hurt her and tyler too much for me to ever be able to ship them. He nearly sacrificed her and tyler in 2x20, he made tyler bite her in 3x11, he ran her through with a lamp pole in 4x13 and bit her and would have let her die if tyler hadn’t brought her back to sweet talk him, and in 4x06 when he found out she was distracting him he said “You’re beautiful but if you don’t stop talking I’ll kill you”. I don’t think Caroline deserves a relationship like that! Not to mention one of Caroline’s best traits is loyalty, and not only has klaus hurt her but he has hurt the people she cares most about like tyler who he killed and turned into a hybrid and whose mom he murdered, stefan whose free will and humanity he took away, elena whose aunt he killed and who he wanted to use as a human blood bag. So Caroline being with him just reflects so poorly on her character and makes her look like a hypocrite. As for klayley, I feel like its the opposite of klaroline tbh. Hayley is more mature than Caroline in a lot of ways. She’s not as concerned about trivial things like college and parties [because apparently she’s older?] and more about survival and getting power. And for Hayley her family is the most important to her, like Klaus, They’re both dark characters and share similar bad impulses. They also have similar past abandonment issues which allowed them to immediately bond. They obviously have an attraction and I honestly think Hayley seems to grasp Klaus’s character because in the end she is exactly like him. They can be caring to those they care about but also ruthless, they have deep deep rooted family issues, they’re both werewolves and now they’re having a child together so yeah.
