if you don’t mind me asking… :)

Not at all, I’m always happy to answer genuine questions :) I feel like they have an understanding between each other that the two of them don’t have with any other characters. They’re both equally damaged and come from similar pasts of having families that didn’t want them. Klaus even said it, “I’m beginning to think we’re a lot alike you and I. We’re both cast offs who have learned to fight when we’re backed into a corner,” and Hayley said it too, “I saw how twisted it really is. and maybe I can relate”. And now they both also have this common goal of protecting their child which has become the most important thing to both of them. I like the chemistry they have and Klaus obviously finds her attractive and wants to keep her safe. I think Hayley understands and accepts him in a way that Caroline never will [nor should she] because she’s exactly the same as him. Also their relationship is natural and doesn’t reduce Klaus to drawing ponies. Hayley also isn’t afraid to stand up to him and I think Klaus respects her for that, and she understands his werewolf side. Their relationship is dark and twisted, and its not about Klaus suddenly becoming some noble hero and never doing any bad things again because that’s never going to happen. Its not who he is and no girl can make him be that way and I don’t think Hayley expects him to be some noble prince charming. She’s done some pretty terrible things too. So yeah, that’s some of the reasons why I ship them :)
